授業報告(その3:学生の声)/ UTDーToyo Online Joint Class #3: Voice from students
< Student Evaluation Comments from Toyo >
The following are some of the student evaluations:
- I can say that this class is one of the best courses I have taken because of the topics and the joint classes with UTD. It was such an honor to be part of this very nice opportunity and to be able to know, interact and exchange ideas with UTD on how our culture and beliefs differs from them. And how we are both open minded to accept and understand our differences. (Freshman)
- I gained a lot from this joint project with UTD students. Teamwork experience, leadership, community, Pecha kucha presentation. And we overcame lots of difficulties to sure our work is going on. Like the time difference or different cultural background. Everyone has their own personality and attitude of work and community, so as a leader you should find out the different way to discuss with different teammates. Like actually some people has really good ideas, but they just too shy to publish in front of people, so as leader you have many way to figure it out, like force he/she to publish or take time have a private meeting to listen he/she’s ideas? Anyway, this project provides me a lot, and I also learn a lot from this project, not only in academic field, but also social experience and community. (Freshman)
- I was very glad that the UTD students listened to me with great interest when I was expressing my opinions about Japanese culture. There were a few sharp questions that I struggled to answer, but I think it gave me a chance to rethink about Japanese culture. (Junior)
- It was wonderful to have a chance to interact with the UTD students, as they tried to understand what we were trying to say, and we were able to ask each other questions about our cultures. I learned that even if your English skills are poor, you can have great communication if you are willing to approach each other and try to understand. In addition, it was a great experience for me to learn about other cultures and how different they are from Japan. (Junior)
