2日間という短い時間でしたが、その中で凝縮された学びの多いスケジュールを立ててくださった岡先生と校長先生をはじめとするこの研修で出会い、お世話になった多くの方々に感謝します。
「日本語での交流」
日本語での交流の時間では、この学校の中で最も日本語レベルが高いクラスの生徒たちと交流をしました。ランダムにグループに分かれて、フリートークをし、私たちはアカデミックなことだけではなく、日常的な会話をしました。
この交流の中で私が最も印象に残っていることは、とある子に日本人の友達は多いのか聞いたところ、ほとんどいないと言っている子がいました。日本に15年前後住んでいるにもかかわらず、そのような状況では悲しいなというのが第一に感じたことでした。日本人側も歩み寄る必要があるし、ブラジル人側もコミュニティ内だけではなく、一歩踏み出して互いに一緒に暮らしていくという意識を持っていけたら良いなと思いました。言葉だけでは誰でも言えることなので、まずはわたしから、この研修で友達になった子との縁を途切れないように、そして、私が彼らにとっての日本人の友達の中の1人になりたいと思いました。
私は、この活動が最も有意義だったと感じます。生徒の皆さんと深い話をすることができ、日系ブラジル人として日本に生きる子供たちの現状を知ることができました。どのグループとも、進学について話すことが多く、夢や目標を持って、過ごしているなと思いましたが、小さいコミュニティで過ごしているからなのか持っている情報が少ないと感じました。また、生徒の多くが、英語を熱心に学びたいと思っている子が多く、彼らが英語を習得することで、日本にいるグローバル人材として重宝されるであろうと思いました。また、一人の生徒から「なぜ日本人は外国人と仲良くしようとしないの？」と純粋に疑問をぶつけられたときは、様々なことを考えさせられました。
「グローバル化社会」、「英語の習得」と近年言われますが、私たちはまず日本にあるこのような現状に目を向けることがグローバル化の第一歩につながるのではないかと感じました。

We visited the school, Mundo de Alegria, for Japanese Brazilian and Japanese Peruvians. We spent two days there to study about the immigrants who have difficulties using Japanese.
I will mention the“Talking in Japanese time”. Our seminar members and students from Mundo were divided into five groups, and talked about various topics in Japanese for 10 minutes.Then, we mixed up the grups and did the same thing again.
The most impressive moment was when I asked one of the students, “Do you usually socialize with Japanese people?” she replied to me, “I do not have even Japanese friends”. Even though she has lived in Japan for more than 15 years, she stays in the small Brazilian Japanese community and spends time only with Japanese Brazilian people. It made me so sad. I think that not only Brazilian Japanese people open up in culture, languages, everything but also we, Japanese people need to make them living in Japan more comfortable and acceptable. Through this study in Mundo, I have got some friends so this is important thing for both sides and cherish this friendship lasts.
I think this random talk made me realize the real situation and issues of the immigrants as Japanese Brazilian and Japanese Peruvian students. Each group talk about their future but they also concern about the university admission which has acceptance for them in language especially. Most of them is eager to study English diligently. If they are able to develop English proficiency, I thought we should appreciate their value as Japan’s Global human resources.
Recently, people say “globalized society” “acquiring English skills are important”. I want to emphasize that the thing we need to do first is to face this fact and tackle with it and this might be a big step for the globalization.
