芦沢ゼミでは2016年から日系アメリカ人コミュニティーでのフィールド研究を実施しています。2019年2月もLA研修を実施し、第二次大戦中に約1万人の日系アメリカ人が収容されていたマンザナール収容所跡地を訪問するなど、精力的に現地での活動をおこなった。
Our research trip to LA in February 2019 was successfully completed, exploring Japanese American community in the LA area. We visited Manzanar internment camp, Japanese American national museum, old age home and other community service centers.
